Learnt and to be learnt
An internship enables one to get the real experience on working in particular field. Usually the problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills are way more demanded than the academic knowledge. I think this 'theory' fits in many situation in the internship experience.
Promblem-solving skills
My work partially relies on the use of Twitter - to release information and do research from. It might be just as ordinary as Facebook that everyone goes online every day. But it was the first time I used Twitter, I had to explore how it works. The problem to me was to follow up the work handed down to me. At first I was quite stressed making some innocent changes on the existing settings and information which I did not know how to go back.
Getting to know the working style
Since the works are submitted online and the report has to be handed in in the form of email, the presenation of the work has to be reader-friendly.
I first noticed the difference of writing style via emails. I understood the discrepancy was not a mistake but it might be a drag to the communication process. Therefore, I tried to present the data and report to my supervisor in a organized way like to divide 2 sections in report - 1) works done with main points highlighted and underlined; 2) questions about works.
The Last Gods of Indochine
For the time being, my works had been finished. And my coming work would be to support the release of the book The Last Gods of Indochine - to keep contact with the reviewers and author.
